Apostles of Jesus Missionaries make Perpetual Vows.
Twenty three young professed members of the Missionaries institute of the Apostles of Jesus took their perpetual vows at the Apostles of Philosophicum in Langata, Nairobi- Kenya. The 23 made their perpetual commitment at the hands of the Pontifical Commissary, Rev Fr, Angelo Battelli, FdCC. The commitment were made on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Aug 15, 2024.
On this day the church celebrate the Virgin Mother of God who was assumed into heaven. This celebration is a sign of sure hope and comfort to us the pilgrim people. It is an exaltation that God would not allow His Blessed Mother to see the corruption of the tomb since from her own body she marvelously brought forth God’s incarnate Son, the Author of all life.
The 23 who took their final commitment/ Perpetual vows have undergone a rigorous formation from Aspirancy, Postulancy, Novitiate and later in their theologate. Their perseverance throughout this journey is an assurance for the love of their vocation and their continuous response to the call of God. After their perpetual profession, these young men will prepare themselves to the service of God as Deacons. Deaconate will be conferred to them on a later date.
Apostles of Jesus Missionaries admit its members from different Nationalities. The members are formed to work in different parts of the world. Apostles of Jesus has its missions in Africa, USA, Europe and Australia.
